BRIDGES

On our Circle Line Tour, we were able to get excellent view of NYC's famous bridges. Above we have the well known Brooklyn Bridge, and underneath is the New York City Waterfall, one of four manmade waterfalls, and part of a public art exhibit sponsored by the City. They are lit beautifully at night. All the water is pumped rights out of the East River, where it returns.

This is the Williamsburg Bridge, I think, or maybe the Manhattan Bridge.

This is the man that would know all the bridges, John Keatts, our tour guide. He gave a fascinating account of the history, geology, trivia, and politics that make New York City what it is.

He has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, his Professional Airline Pilots license, served on a Navy submarine, and has appeared in numerous Broadway show. He has also written a book about New York.

The Great Gray Bridge and the Little Red Lighthouse (for all of you who love that book).

This is the George Washington Bridge.
