"The earlier parents begin
to make God's laws of
order
and beauty
and quietness
comprehensible to their children,
the sooner they will acquire
good strong notions
of what is so basic
to real Godliness--
self-denial.
A Christian home should be
a place of peace,
and there can be no peace
where there is
no self-denial."

Elisabeth Elliott

This quote was used in an excellent CD I just finished listening to called "Twenty-four Hours is All You Get" by Susan Bradrick. I found it very convicting, as was the whole CD.

Hi there! We were in the JT400 treasure hunt with you all! We loved your T-shirts :) We were so encouraged to see all of the Godly families the Lord has raised up!

After the hunt we looked up a lot of the families that were in the hunt to see if they had a blog, and we found yours! We check in periodically and sure do enjoy it.

I also really appreciated the CD, "24 Hours is all You Get". We just listened to it many times through and it has been so helpful philosophically. The simple concept of budgeting time is sometimes difficult to work out practically. Numbering our priorities as a family really helped us. I also appreciated the quote from Elisabeth Eliot. What a great lady she is!

God Bless your Family!
